This was my first "serious" drawing. I had been doodling and doing some cartoons in school notebooks, but I was recovering from a broken leg so I had time for a slightly more ambitious drawing.

I was fourteen at the time and a fan of the Los Angeles Rams, so I drew their middle linebacker, "Hacksaw" Reynolds. I enjoyed doing all the details.
