Julius Erving was my favorite player so I drew this montage. One Friday night I took some examples of my work into the local newspaper, the Meridan Record, and I met with Ken Robinson the sports editor. Since it was the weekend of the NBA All-star game he decided to print this in Saturday's paper.

I was still in art school at the time and this was my first printed piece. I ended up doing many illustrations for the Record and I was paid $15.00 for the use of this one!
